During this period, EdwardGHome also served as Parliamentary Private Secretary to both former Home Secretaries, UK_ThinBlueLine and VictorDClaudinho from around the beginning of the 72nd term until the 22nd of April 2023. On the 14th of April 2023, Edward was elected by Conservative backbenchers to serve as the Chairman of the 1922 Committee following the resignation of the former Chairman, Marcus_Stuyvestant.
