AndreHodge is a British politician who served as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from March 2021 to April 2021 and Leader of the Liberal Democrats from January 2021 to April 2021, serving as Leader of the Opposition from January to March 2021. Hodge was the first Liberal Democrats Prime Minister since Tormentium, ending a 5-year electoral drought for the Liberal Democrats.
Early Years
AndreHodge joined the United Kingdom in 2017, serving in the British Army with the Grenadier Guards regiment. Aside from the British Armed Forces, he was most active outside of the group, and was a prominent player in the Balkan military conflict that was ongoing throughout the 2010s.
Slovenia/Yugoslavia
Hodge served in the Slovenian Armed Forces during the Croatian-Bosnian war of 2017 to 2018. Prior to the Bosnian invasion of Croatia, he served primarily in ceremonial service in Ljubljana as a presidential Honour Guard, and was the regiment's commanding officer by the time war broke out.
Hodge was deployed with the Honour Guards to the Kvarner Gulf during a joint Croatian-Slovenian island hopping campaign, following Bosnian advances in the Adriatic. He was promoted to Chief of the General Staff after his regiment successfully coordinated with Croatian forces to push a coalition of Bosnian-Albanian marines out of the region. He also saw extensive combat in Petrinja, where Slovenian forces successfully held against a Bosnian offensive that had broken through Croatian lines. Little is known about this deployment however, as Slovenian president ThomasHodge and Croatian President Rokoopuhac ordered the destruction of all military and civil documents relating to the Petrinja salient and encirclement.
Following the de-escalation of violence and reestablishment of a demilitarised Croatian-Bosnian border, Hodge was deployed to the Prekmurje region of Slovenia during an insurgency by a pro-independence rebel group. Following a successful operation he was promoted to Chief of the Defence Staff where he expanded the country's armed forces, and established an Air Force and peacekeeping battalion that actively partook in global UN peacekeeping operations globally.
Hodge ran for Chairman of the European Union in January 2018, however lost to WilliamAragon.
When Slovenia joined the reformed Yugoslav state in September 2017, AndreHodge became a Vice Admiral in the Yugoslavian War Navy. His Naval Infantry Brigade successfully put down an anti-Yugoslav uprising in the Lovrenc na Pohorju region, and he was actively involved in the Yugoslavian-Albanian war two months later. Following Yugoslav defeat in the Yugoslavian-Albanian war, Hodge was promoted to Admiral of the Fleet and conducted a complete naval reform and restructuring. By the time of his retirement in 2018 the Yugoslavian Navy had 3 active vessels, the destroyer 'Militar Acev', and frigates 'Split' and 'Kotor'.
Hodge still holds citizenship in Yugoslavia and is known to reside on the Adriatic for holidays.
Moldova
In 2020 Hodge helped his close ally and friend Rodeziyisky, formerly ThomasHodge, form the Republic of Moldova. He was appointed Chief of the Defence Staff in the Moldovan Armed Forces and assumed the role of Prime Minister in an early military government.
Russian backed rebels in Eastern Moldova had established the state of Transnistria following the collapse of the previous Moldova, and immediately Hodge saw his new Moldovan Armed Forces engaged in constant combat along the Pridenestrovie Border Zone. Relying on small detachments of troops, supported by the quickly mobilised Moldovan Police, the Moldovan armed forces struggled to advance into Transnistrian territory. However, it succeeded in securing the border from Transnistrian incursions and stomping out a Transnistria-funding illicit drugs trade.
Following Moldova's admission into the United Nations on the 22nd of February 2020, Russia stepped up its support of Transnistria and deployed Spetsnaz units in a widescale peacekeeping operation along the frontline. The 45th Special Purpose Airborne Brigade was selected for the first rotation, and the ~70 strong force was deployed at the beginning March 2020 alongside supporting units from the Russian Ground forces.
In response to the Russian declaration that they would deploy a sizeable peacekeeping force, Hodge sectorised the Armed Forces and drove a large recruitment campaign aimed at rapidly bolstering numbers in case of a complete Russian advance into Moldovan territory. By the time of the Russian deployment, the 1st Motorized Infantry Brigade had been established as the Ground Forces' first official division. Under the command of General De Brigadă ZephHodge, the brigade quickly expanded to include 47 active military personnel split between two battalions.
Despite these efforts, by the time the Russian peacekeepers were deployed, large swathes of the Moldovan Armed Forces were still grossly undertrained. Almost immediately, skirmishes broke out across the border between joint Russian-Transnistrian units and Moldovan forces. New recruits suffered heavy losses to the Russian Spetsnaz, many receiving less than two hours training before being deployed to the frontlines. Nevertheless, due to exceptional instances of personal heroism and leadership, Moldovan forces bolstered by detachments from the police force held the border and prevented long lasting territorial advancements from the Russian supported Transnistrian forces.
