Accession and Coronation
Robert acceded to the throne on the 16th of October 2022 following King George's departure from the United Kingdom. A day later, King Robert was formally proclaimed King at the meeting of the Accession Council at Windsor Castle on the 17th of October 2022.
Early Reign
The King's first address to the British Public outlined his committment to duty and service. The King stated: "I am speaking to you today to pledge to you my service as your King ... It is my hope that we go forward in future with the best interests of the Kingdom and the Commonwealth in our minds."
