The Deputy Prime Minister is a minister of the Crown and member of the Cabinet. It is used to indicate the Prime Minister's deputy, but has no right to automatic succession. The title is not always in use and prime ministers have been known to appoint informal deputies without the title of deputy prime minister. The incumbent deputy prime minister is AlanHalvorsen who also serves as Lord Chancellor and Secretary of State for Justice.
