GodronBrown, aka CheersRafa, is a former British politician who served as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom in 2021. He previously served as First Secretary of State in AndreHodge and ConnorNovak's governments, Chancellor of the Exchequer in BarryRuarc's government in 2020, and was a Member of Parliament from 2017 to 2021, first for Kirkcaldy and Cowdenbeath, then Banff and Buchan, Redcar and Brighton. He is the most recent Liberal Democrat politician to hold the position of Prime Minister. He is also the only person to hold the position of Welsh First Minister, before it was dissolved in April 2018.
GodronBrown was first elected as the Liberal Democrat Member of Parliament for Kirkcaldy and Cowdenbeath in April 2017 under the leadership of SanguisFarron. Following the merger of the party with the Royalist Party, he briefly served as Leader of the House of Commons under Prime Minister TentaCools, before resigning abruptly. In 2018, Brown returned as a Member of Parliament for the Conservatives, leading the Welsh Conservatives branch, achieving the largest electoral landslide in history.
Following Hodge's resignation, Brown was elected unopposed to replace him, becoming Liberal Democrat leader and being appointed Prime Minister on the 25 April. Brown's time as Prime Minister was marked by a series of reforms, including the passage of the OFCOM Act and frequent clashes with opposition backbenchers. Brown took a keen interest in working alongside the Home Office services, forming a close relationship with the London Ambulance Service's leadership. Despite high personal ratings, Brown opted to resign before the June 2021 election, with IlSammyII elected as Liberal Democrat leader unopposed.
After leaving office, Brown went to work for the London Ambulance Service, eventually taking charge of the Volunteer Response Group as its Operations Officer. Brown made occasional political interventions prior to becoming a Lord in November 2021, and joined the Electoral Commission, serving throughout 2021 and 2022.
Early Career
Brown first ran for office for the role of Mayor of London, finishing behind Labour's Fastbadsolider, UKIP's ParisRYoung, the Conservative's JacksonMontgomery and the Liberal Democrat candidate.
Following this, Brown joined the Liberal Democrats, becoming their Shadow Justice spokesperson for the April 2017 election. Brown represented the Liberal Democrats at the debate held during the campaign. Brown was elected alongside three other Liberal Democrat MPs - SangooseFarron, RagoNemesisDie and ArcherFordham.
Following inactivity, Brown challenged ArcherFordham's position as Deputy Leader of the party. An internal election was held and Brown narrowly lost by 2 votes.
GodronBrown was elected as Deputy Speaker of the House of Commons, serving under Speaker JohnnyFalcone. Following Falcone's resignation, Brown served as Speaker of the House for the remainder of the term.
Brown played a key role in the merger of the Liberal Democrats and the Royalist Party to form the Labour Party, being one of the most senior figures within the party. The merger saw success, and Tentacools was elected under a majority Labour government. Brown briefly served as Leader of the House of Commons before resigning.
Brown returned to the Labour Party under Connor_Novak, serving as First Secretary of State.
Conservative Party Leadership Roles
Throughout 2018, GodronBrown served in various positions within the Conservative Party. Brown rejoined the parliament as the member for Banff and Buchan before being appointed as the Leader of the House of Commons
by Prime Minister MarkRMonty. At the same time, Brown was elected as the Leader of the Welsh Conservatives, leading them to a landslide election victory in the Welsh Assembly, taking 11 of the 12 seats. Brown remains the only Welsh First Minister to have served.
Following the resignation of MarkRMonty, LawMonty was appointed Prime Minister and Brown returned to the position of First Secretary of State, a post he held until August 2018.
