Fenston served in the Greater Manchester Police, joining as a student constable on June 17th 2019. He explored several different career opportunities within the Greater Manchester Police and was successful in joining the Tactical Firearms Unit shortly after becoming a qualified police constable. His career roles in the Greater Manchester Police mainly consisted of specialist firearms roles like the Counter-Terrorism Specialist Firearms Unit and the Principal Protection Unit. After excelling in the specialist firearms unit, he resigned from the Greater Manchester Police on December 13th 2019 to pursue a political career.
