Jam1443 previously served as a Member of Parliament (MP) representing Cardiff, following a previous term as an MP for Kingston. In addition to these representative roles, Jam1443 has been entrusted with the responsibilities of a Party Whip for the Labour Party, a position he has held since March 2023. Simultaneously, he has also contributed as a member of the Home Affairs Select Committee.
He was fired as the Labour Deputy Whip on 20 May 2023, and replaced as the Member of Parliament for Cardiff on 21 May 2023.
