Cathcart, who is Chief of Clan Cathcart, is of Scottish descent and a close relative of HenryCathcart and WilliamCathcart. He joined the Royal Navy in January 2021 and was appointed Warrant Officer to the Royal Navy before leaving in November of the same year.
