Clan Cathcart is a Lowland Scottish clan listed in the Roll of scottish clans issued by the College of Arms. The Clan was founded by TimothyCathcart and HenryCathcart on the 31st of May 2020.
History
After becoming acquainted during TimothyCathcarts tenure as Leader of the Conservative and Unionist Party, slurpmayhem and TimothyGranqvist decided to create a scottish clan after inspiration from other households already existant in the United Kingdom. On the 31st of May 2020, they founded the Cathcart Household which today is synonymous with Clan Cathcart. At first, only close acquaintances and former conservative party colleauges were invited to the clan but it came to grow larger as more friends were invited. Eventually the clan accumulated ten family members.
The Clans members have been notable for serving in a multitude of positions within the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office. Where five of the clans members have served as Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, three as Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and three as Permanent Secretary to the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office.
