Political Career
EdwardGHome first joined Parliament as the Conservative MP for West Mercia after Benjaminhenley's victory in the March 2023 General Election serving as MP for West Mercia from the 11th of March to the 13th of May 2023.
EdwardGHome also served as Parliamentary Private Secretary to both former Home Secretaries, UK_ThinBlueLine and VictorDClaudinho from around the beginning of the 72nd term until the 22nd of April 2023.
On the 14th of April 2023, Edward was elected by Conservative backbenchers to serve as the Chairman of the 1922 Committee following the resignation of the former Chairman, Marcus_Stuyvestant. Edward was initially on the Conservative Board as an appointed member, but moved seats on the board due to his election as the Chairman of the 1922 Committee.
On the 22nd of April 2023, Edward was chosen by the Prime Minister to serve as Minister of State for Emergency Services.
EdwardGHome resigned from politics on the 7th of May 2023 in order to pursue a career in the Metropolitan Police.
